Why exercise doesn’t work…

Almost everyone knows that if you exercise more you’ll lose weight, right?

Why is it then that over 45 million Americans belong to a gym or health club (20 million more than 25 years ago) YET the number of people who are Obese has continually risen to  over 36% (more than 1 out of every 3 people)!

And another third is overweight…

How can this be if exercise makes you thinner?

Recent and surprising studies have found that exercise DOES NOT help you lose weight like you may have been led to believe… and can even make you fatter!

Exercise of any kind burns calories, and you must burn calories to lose fat… but one thing exercise also does is stimulate hunger.

And this can cause us to eat more, little by little, sometimes to the point where we end up wiping out any of the weight loss benefit we were going for in the first place!

Strangely enough, exercise can make it even harder for you to lose weight… which can explain much of the trouble you may have had in the past with things like stubborn belly flab.

To put it in another perspective, if you go out for a run and burn 200 calories, you can simply erase that by consuming a standard sports drink or fruit juice in 30 seconds or less!

This reminds me of my one of my clients Michael…
